Classic Model Trains
Most modellers are truly kids at heart. One of the outstanding qualities of youth is the ability to explore your imagination and projecting yourself into different worlds. Many of us are satisfied with the simple operations of our layouts. Cool effects, life like replicas and true to life sounds of our locomotives gliding across rails at scaled down speeds.
Most model railroaders have far more cars (rolling stock) and locomotives than they can possibly operate at once. One option is to simply store excess rolling stock and locomotives in boxes or on display shelves or cabinets. It is possible, however, to store all of your extra equipment and trains on tracks in a yard that may or may not be part of the visible operating portion of your model train layout.
If one is going to construct a garden railroad… in a garden none the less, it would probably help to know a little about gardening. Needles to say, you’ll be faced with all the elements of surprise in this hobby.
Due to their obvious size, large scale or gauge 1 locomotives jump out and catch individuals off guard. Their incredible detail is only rivaled by the real thing. This is undoubtedly the main attraction of giant miniatures.
