In her hay day she was the titanic of ships.
This 1911 marvel of engineering was only marveled for so long before her lack of steam power at high velocities was recognized. This lack of power deprived the locomotive of enough force the to keep the cylinders in pace. She was underpowered but a marvel never the less.
Tipping the scales at almost a million pounds this gigantic steam engine saw operation proudly from 1911 until 1918.
Her sleek before her times design is not to be ignored. She was a head turner then and is a head turner now.

Most of the buildings and structures on this model train layout have been built from kits; the building names are reminiscent of those in Philadelphia since that’s where I grew up.
